Opening of kidulthood

                                                        Analyising 'kidulthood'.

Kidulthood ; reinforces ideology and values of today's society, for example , in these days society people think young adults have a huge impact on little kids, because of the way they are behaving in today's generation. Some young adults are shop lifting some are drinking at a 

very inappropriate age, Also they way they are behaving in school and the way they get into fights are making the society feel scared to go out at night. They blame the parents most of the times. I think it breaks the values in today's life. They don't behave how everyone wants them to   be. Kidulthood shows us how the young adults are behaving in school and what is happening. its used to reinforce how bad these young teenagers are getting in today's society's. Also it makes us think it in a negative way it gives us a thought that even teachers aren't able to control their own students.

In the opening scene of the film 'Kidulthood', many different stereotypes are shown and presented through out the film. right at the start of the movie it gives us a negative and bad effect of the film. The opening of Kidulthood shows us a stereotype of a school which is mostly taken over by these bunch of teenagers, which have bad behaviors and their is no control of them by the teachers. their are different types of media shots and angles, the first shot is taken in the playground where a student is playing football in a really slow motion to show us suspense of the film also its been taken with a very close camera angle. This slow motion is a visual type of effect that works well with the atmosphere. 

Also the opening of 'Kidulthood' is very intense. at the start all the main characters are introduced and they gives us a bad thought of them. the shot slows down swiftly as they introduce the characters to us giving us time to analyse their faces and how we think they are going to act. Also the way the students are dressed are not really all smart, everyone is dressed in there own way. Nobody's shirt is tucked in or tie is done up. The face that the students aren't wearing the uniform in a correct way it gives us a bad impact on the audience making them think that the school isn't strict enough with them as everyone is doing whatever they want.

The way everyone is speaking connotes fear for those people who actually want to learn and makes them feel scared of them. the way they speak makes it really predictable that they are not talking in the right formal manner in which they should be but instead are talking in a very informal manner, they class themselves as 'cool' but in others eyes they are just teenagers with a really bad attitude. Also the fact that they don't give out the full information about how each students is it makes the audience and viewers interested to find out more about them and keep watching it connotes suspense.

A boy with his hooded jumper walks in and the camera is close up right to him showing us the way he is walking and the way he is acting it gives us a particular look with his rude and ruthless personalty the way he talks back to the teacher and the way the teacher gets scared gives the audience a bad impact of that persons personality. It shows us he doesn't really have a concern about the school rules. In that shot the boy with his hooded jumper comes up to a person in his gang and creating a argument with them, at that moment no teachers are around this shows us that the teachers aren't doing their jobs right. The way the scene is set it is in a lonely and quite place around school.

Moreover their is a group of girls, who are quite different from all the others, gets into a fight with the boy and a group of girls because of the way she is looking at them. The girl was she has a fight with gets provoked by the boy with the hood to beat up the girl who keeps looking at them. This shows the audience that a person hanging out with a person with bad personality and behavioral can also spoil them and make them do bad things.
