Group Progress report

03/02/2013; This picture above was taken in Ealing Town Hall the day we went to start shooting for our media production. This is the location we got permission to shoot in as my other two members of my group had emailed them a week before and they said the 3rd of Febuary was the best time. So undertaking these me and my group went of to ealing town hall and produced one minute of our teen drama. From my previous group progress report me and my group have improved so much. As since we had come together to make the power point we were going to pitch to the class talking about our setting, idea, location, casting etc. And after we got the feedback from our class and teacher we then took some action improving some bits that needed to be improved so we are all planned and set. As that time we had a different location idea to shoot at, however we chose the location to ealing town hall as we also got permission to shoot there which was a huge advantage for me and my group and the location was perfectly fit for our teen drama and fitted in perfectly as the location was amazing and we thought it would defiantly engage the audience. Locations getting accepted to shoot in local areas otherwise it'd be a lot of trouble, having the right casting because without good actors our film wouldn't be as good. Also taking everything into consideration me and my group have finally finished the 50 shot storyboard and the shot list.

On Sunday we finally went to Ealing Town Hall to shoot a few scenes of our teen drama for the first time and for this we were all fully prepared as the location was fit. Also we all were in our costumes and were in character ready to shoot. Also at the end of each location we told the people to sign our location form in for us for the evidence of us actually shooting there. In total me and my group had spent about 4 hours in ealing shooting that day. From doing various of different shots, retakes etc as we wanted to shoot the same scene quite a few times so from that we are able to pick the best. As sometimes we warn't ready and done some small mistakes so we thought w'el do retakes again and again getting it right and also making it easier for us to be able to edit as we will have a variety of different scenes. The first scene we did started of inside the ealing town hall itself as you can see from the first image i took. That was were rashmi and me were walking out of class in a hurry as i was chasing rashmi. This went very well as we had the correct shots and our story boards with us such as low angle shots, over-the-sholder shots, match on action, close-ups etc. Which went according to plan. After that was done we then done a tracking shot of Rashmi going down the stairs in anger and in a hurry as we can see that from her facial expressions and body language. As see walked down half way she then recieves a text message from 'Someone' and then there is a close-up of the text so the audience is able to see what the text is showing etc.going outside and having a mid-shot of her. So we did get a lot done and what we needed to in ealing town hall. As we got accepted so we didn't waste any time and moved straight on to it. Overall I think it did go very well and we looked back at the scenes to see if we need to do another take, and this is what we did. Overall We're happy with what we've done so far.

In addition to that we then went to southall station as you can see. And we filmed rashmi walking towards the station and then inside. however we took this shot several times as it didnt really work out correctly as we wanted the background to be performing natural and wanted nobody to be looking directly to the camera as this wouldnt make it look natural. Also we did a tracking shot of rashmi upfront. Which did go as we planned we also added more shots as we felt we needed too from the storyboard, which did get us thinking ahead and we were all in focus today which was very good.

This is a shot of Southall train station which was taken showing that we went here to film and this was the platform we used to shoot from and we were looking to do our scene on as it was perfectly fit for our scene and went very well. Also as we filmed Rashmi on the other platform and she suddenly disappeared was very affective as it would confuse the audience and connote enigma code. This was significant
